Making a fresh cold smoothie on these warm summer days is the best! I love it for breakfast, mid morning snack, after the gym or just whenever you feel like making one is the best!
I love it and especially this time of year as there are so many fun interesting ingredients to use on the supermarket shelves.
Here in this recipe it uses some delicious homemade fresh rhubarb puree which is super simple to make. Just cook up some rhubarb in a saucepan with little bit of water till soft and then you can blend it up before or just through it into the blender before making the smoothie.
- 1 Banana
- ½ Cup Rhubarb Puree
- 1 Cup Milk or Yogurt
- 2 Tablespoon Ground Flax Seed
- Juice from 1 Lemon
- Place everything into the blender.
- Process until nice and smooth
- Serve and enjoy over ice or by itself
